Kuala Lumpur

Batu Caves Located north of the city center, the Batu Caves were first discovered in 1878 by American William Hornaday. The giant caves are part of a series of caves and cave temples and are among some of the holiest Hindu shrines in Malaysia.
King s Palace The King s Palace, Istana Negara, is the official residence of His Majesty, the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong (King) of Malaysia. It s situated on a 28 acre site on a lush green hillside overlooking the Klang River.
Merdeka Square Considered the birthplace of Malaysia, Merdeka Square is a place of great historical interest. It was the site where Malays celebrated their independence from British rule, and today it s a popular venue for parades and other national events.
Petrona s Towers Soaring 1482 feet high, the marvelous Petronas Towers once claimed the title of the world s tallest building (from 1998-2004). They tower about the city s skyline and have inevitably become symbols for Malaysia s amazing growth in the past twenty years.
