Phuket

Often dubbed the "Pearl of the South," Phuket is Thailand's largest and most popular island. This exotic destination, nestled in the southwestern coast of Thailand, boasts stunning landscapes of sandy white beaches and endless turquoise waters. A scenic cruise along Phang Nga Bay affords breathtaking views of dramatic limestone formations rising from gleaming emerald waters. The island's coastlines, overflowing with lush foliage, offer a variety of water sports, restaurants and bars to suit any traveler's tastes.

Phuket

Old Phuket Town

Old Phuket houses many Buddhist temples and its Chinatown offers visitors a taste of Chinese history and heritage in this quaint provincial town.

Beaches

Phuket has one of the most charming and varying beach views. From 360 degree panoramic views, to sunrise and sunset, there are many viewing spots throughout the island, including Phromthep Cape, Big Buhhda, Kata View Point, and Range Hill. The Kata and Karon Beaches are close to each other, offering typical Phuket beach landscape with deep indigo waters, white sands, and clear skylines. The Kata View Point looks down to the Kata and Karon Beaches, offering a different perspective and showing off one of nature s most outstanding handiworks. There are many other beaches to choose from, from the small and quiet Bang Tao to the resort-like and lively Patong.

Phromthep Cape

At the Phromthep Cape, you will be greeted with thousands of wooden elephants of various sizes. These wooden elephants are none other than the Lord Braham and his guardians. Looking down from the cape is Nai Han Beach.

Wat Changlong

Wat Changlong is a Buddhist temple considered to be the spiritual symbol of Phuket. The temple is reputed to contain a fragment of Buddha s bone and has spawned many legends regarding its mysterious healing powers.

Phao Thaeo National Park

In addition to its beautiful beaches, Phuket is also known for its virgin rain forest. Visit Phuket s Khao Thaeo National Park and enjoy the tropical forests and majestic waterfalls. Within the park, there is a Gibbon rehabilitation center that hosts many abandoned Gibbons.
