Taitung
This largely unspoiled city lies between mountains and the Pacific Ocean, and has largely been able to maintain its unique culture and purity. Developed by the Japanese in the early 20th Century, one can still find Japanese architecture throughout the area. There is also a blend of local aboriginal tribes people and Taiwanese settlers that bring diversity to Taitung.
