Lijiang River (Li River)
The poetic Li River is one of Guilin s most famous scenic locales, renowned for its striking natural beauty and unique topography. Floating along the peaceful waters, you can get a taste of life outside the hustle and bustle of the neighboring metropolis. Like a jade ribbon, the river flows from Mt. Cat in northeast Guilin and winds its way southeast to meet the Xi River in Wulin. The landscape is adorned with rolling hills, caves, steep cliffs, and leisurely boats meandering down the river.

The sprawling cave is filled with massive stone pillars, stalagmites, and stalactites that create a hauntingly beautiful landscape. Sticking to tradition, the Chinese have given many of these formations poetic names, including Dragon s Pagoda, Crystal Palace, and Fruit and Flower Mountain.
