Today the ship approaches one of China s most globally recognized icons, the Three Gorges. Pass through Qutang Gorge, the shortest and narrowest of the three, followed by the 25 mile long Wu Gorge. Admire the serene beauty of its mountains and sheer limestone cliffs, then board a smaller vessel to access the dramatic Lesser Gorges. Return aboard the ship and sail through Xiling Gorge, the longest and deepest of the Three Gorges. This evening we sail through the Three Gorges Dam ship lock systems.
