Day 1   |  USA - Cape Town 

We embark on our South Africa adventure as we board an international flight to Cape Town.

Day 2   |  Arrive Cape Town  (D)

Welcome to Cape Town! We meet our representative and are transferred to our hotel for relaxing. In the evening we can experience a taste of local cuisine for dinner.

Day 3   |  Cape Town  (B, L, D)

Our full day tour of Cape Point begins as we take a scenic drive along the Atlantic Coast to the charming fishing village of Hout Bay. Take a half-hour cruise to Seal Island and then continue along the False Bay coast and stop to view the African penguin colony. We later arrive at Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope. Said to be the romantic meeting place of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans, this cape is the highlight of any visit to the Mother City. our last stop of the day is at the Kirstenbosch Botanical gardens, which is home of some 3,500 species of Southern African fauna and flora.

Day 4   |  Cape Town  (B, L, D)

We begin our full-day tour at the magnificent Table Mountain, Cape Town's most famous landmark and is renowned for its rich biodiversity. After we descend the mountain we enjoy a scenic coastal drive through Clifton and Sea Point to the city center. We continue our tour at as we walk through Green Market Square and Company Gardens, and then we drive past Houses of Parliament, the City Hall, the Castle and Slave Lodge, before entering the Malay Quarter. Visit a diamond factory and then end our day at Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. Situated at the foot of Table Mountain, the V&A Waterfront offers visitors indoor shopping and entertainment venues along with stunning ocean vistas.

Day 5   |  Cape Town  (B, L, D)

Today we set off on a wine tasting tour of South Africa's famous wines. Witness the spectacular scenery as we drive north to Paarl and arrive at the beautiful Anura Wine Estate. Enjoy a wine cellar tour as well as a wine and cheese tasting. We continue our tour at the historic Groot Drakenstein Prison, where Nelson Mandela was released in 1990. Our next wine tasting stop is at the picturesque village of Franschhoek. Walk through the village and enjoy a picnic lunch at Rickety Bridge. After lunch we drive along the Hellshoogte Mountain Pass to Stellenbosch, South Africa's second oldest city. If time permits we will enjoy a third wine tasting before dinner this evening.

Day 6   |  Cape Town - Johannesburg- Entabeni  (B, L, D)

We transfer to the airport for a short flight to Johannesburg. Upon arrival we are driven to Entabeni, stopping for lunch along the way. Blessed with magnificent mountain scenery, this area was the home to a variety of wild animals including giraffes, impalas, bushbucks, lions, hyenas, buffalos, elephants and much more. Covering more than 22,000 hectares of bushveld, ravines, savanna, sandy wetlands and wooded hills, Entabeni offers various services such as game drives and guided walks with rangers. In the afternoon we board our 4x4 vehicle for an exciting 3-hour game drive with an expert ranger. Return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 7   |  Entabeni  (B, L, D)

Entabeni is located deep in the heart of the malaria-free World Heritage Waterberg biosphere in Limpopo, southwest of Lapalala Wilderness Game Reserve. Aptly named the place of the mountain in the local language, Entabeni boasts five different ecosystems within one reserve is renowned for big game viewing and bird watching. Today we have the chance to view more wildlife on two game drives - one in the early morning and one following lunch.

Day 8   |  Entabeni - Johannesburg  (B, L, D)

We set off on our last game drive early in the morning. After breakfast we are driven to Johannesburg. Founded in 1886 as a miner’s village on the Witwatersrand gold fields, Johannesburg is synonymous with South Africa's gold mining industry. Today we visit the Gold Reef City theme park and museum. Constructed around the original No.14 shaft of Crown Mines, the park recreates the city of Johannesburg as it was during the early days of the gold rush. Experience the lifestyle of the early pioneers and travel 720 feet below the surface to see firsthand how precious gold is extracted from the earth and then watching the liquid yellow metal being poured into ingots. At the end of our tour we drive to the hotel and check in before we head to dinner.

All too soon our South Africa adventure has come to and end as we are transferred to the airport to catch our international flight back to the US.
