Day 3   |  Nairobi - Mount Kenya National Park  (B, L, D)

We drive to Mount Kenya National Park. Arrive at our lodge at lunch time and spend the rest of the afternoon free at leisure relaxing, watching the game around the water hole or taking a walk through the forest. As one of the world's highest extinct volcanoes and a World Heritage Site, Mt. Kenya is one of the most impressive landscapes in East Africa and offers a unique mosaic of forest, moorland, rock and ice - crowned by the glittering twin peaks of Batian and Nelion.

Day 4   |  Mount Kenya - Shaba National Reserve  (B, L, D)

We drive north to Shaba National Reserve, a semi-desert region located to the east of the Samburu National Reserve. Shaba was made famous for its association with the renowened conservationists, Joy and George Adamson and the movie "Born Free" which was inspired by their work. After lunch we go for a game drive to discover the unique wildlife, searching for its famous elephants and lions.

Day 5   |  Shaba National Reserve  (B, L, D)

Spend the whole day on safari in the reserve. Get your camera ready as we attend game drives in the early morning, morning and afternoon. The sandy soils, which are volcanic in origin, offer sanctuaries to large herds of elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, reticulated giraffes, rare Beisa oryx, kudus and plenty of birdlife. The animals can be seen jostling for watering rights at the many springs which cover the barren landscape.

Day 6   |  Shaba National Reserve - Lake Nakuru National Park  (B, L, D)

At the most famous of the Great Rift Valley lakes, Lake Nakuru is surrounded by wooded and bushy grasslands and is home to a shifting population of over one million flamingoes and other water birds. The ecosystem provides for 56 different species of mammals including white rhinos and buffaloes. We arrive at the lodge at lunch time and in the afternoon we set off on an exciting game drive.

Day 7   |  Lake Nakuru National Park - Masai Mara National Reserve  (B, L, D)

In the morning we drive to the world famous Masai Mara National Reserve, located in southwest Kenya. Known as the backdrop to "the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth," the reserve is famous for its abundance of lions, the distinctive Masai people and the annual migration of over one million wildebeest. Stretching over 580 sq. miles, the reserve is one of Africa's most renowned safari destinations. After enjoying lunch at the lodge, we take off for an afternoon safari.

Day 8   |  Masai Mara National Reserve  (B, L, D)

Enjoy the whole day on safari in Africa's richest wildlife viewing arena. The Masai Mara ecosystem has one the highest lion densities in the world and is home to Kenya's largest lion prides and elephant herds. The games drives today are in the early morning, after breakfast and in the afternoon. In the evening we attend a colorful Maasai dance performance.
