Day 1   |  USA – Bangkok, Thailand 

Board your flight to Thailand. This unique kingdom awaits you with natural splendor, cheerful hospitality and rich spiritual traditions.

Day 2   |  Arriving in Bangkok 

Arrive in Thailand’s capital city of Bangkok, you are greeted by your expert guide and accompanied to your hotel.

Day 3   |  Bangkok  (AB, L, DH)

Explore Bangkok, Thailand’s inspirational “City of Angels.” You’ll first travel to the Grand Palace, Thailand’s most easily recognizable landmark. This one-time royal residence now serves as the monarchy’s ceremonial hub. From the Palace, you’ll stroll through Coronation Hall and arrive at the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Bangkok’s royal temple. Continue on to the Renaissance inspired Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall before concluding your day with a stop at the Gems Factory. Enjoy dinner at hotel.

Day 4   |  Bangkok – Ayutthaya – Bangkok  (AB, L)

Today’s excursion brings you north of Bangkok to Bang Pa-In, where you’ll visit the Summer Palace, home of the iconic Divine Seat of Personal Freedom. Next, the ancient capital city of Ayutthaya reveals its numerous intriguing ruins, conjuring images of its storied past. Delve into this UNESCO recognized historical site before embarking on the Grand Pearl Cruise of the Chao Phraya River.

Day 5   |  Bangkok – Hua Hin  (AB, L, DH)

Get a taste of Thailand’s traditional culture as you board a ruea hang yao, the well-recognized Thai long-tail boat. Ride your watercraft through the intricate canals of this “Venice of the East” and take in the charm of the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, where floating storefronts peddle their wares. As you conclude your time on Bangkok’s waterways, you’ll proceed to Hau Hin, where you have the opportunity to relax at your hotel or explore Thailand’s royal beach resort on your own.

Day 6   |  Hua Hin  (AB, L)

Today’s tour showcases Thailand’s architectural artistry as you visit the beautifully crafted Hua Hin Train Station, a structure originally used as the royal waiting room. Next, you’ll visit King Rama VI’s Palace of Love & Hope. With the ocean as its backdrop, the Palace glows with the builder’s masterful use of golden and red teak. Visitors are asked to approach with reverence to truly experience the awe and wonder of this special place.

Day 7   |  Hua Hin – BangkokChiang Mai  (AB, DS)

Feel free to soak in the gentle vistas of Hua Hin before boarding a flight bound for the cultural hub of Chiang Mai, transit at Bangkok. This “New City” was founded in the 13th century and has since served as the unofficial capital of northern Thailand. The day’s journey concludes with the magical Khantoke Lanna Dinner and Show.

Day 8   |  Chiang Mai  (B)

Travel northwest to the 3,500-foot elevation of Doi Suthep Mountain. Admire the miraculous view of Chiang Mai from this profound vantage point. Inspired by your surroundings, you’ll visit the holy Doi Suthep Temple, where you may experience the reverence of this sacred site and take in the grandeur of its beauty and extravagance. Leaving the Temple, make a stop at the Thai Handicraft Village and browse the impressive collections of handmade goods.

Day 9   |  Chiang Mai  (B, L, DH)

Much of Thai culture revolves around a deep and abiding relationship between life and nature. For centuries the elephant has come to symbolize these precious values of Thailand: strong, intelligent and friendly. You’ll traverse the jungles of Chiang Mai to meet these wise and gentle creatures at the Maesa Elephant Camp. Take this opportunity to ride an elephant into the jungle and visit the native tribes of the region including Long Neck Karen and Big Earrings Tribes. This evening enjoy buffet dinner at hotel.

Day 10   |  Chiang Mai - Chiang Saen - Mai Sai - Chiang Rai  (B, L, D)

Board your motor coach to travel north to the quiet paradise of Chiang Rai and visit Mae Khachan Hot Spring on route. Upon arrival at Chiang Rai, continue on to Chiang Saen, where you’ll survey the Golden Triangle, the geographical nucleus where the borders of Laos, Myanmar and Thailand meet. Take this opportunity to board the optional Mai Khong River boat tour. On this short cruise, enjoy an up close look at the scenery of the Golden Triangle along the riverbanks of Myanmar. Head back to Chiang Rai, make a stop at Laos Village to see the local life and shopping at local market.

Day 11   |  Chiang Rai – Bangkok  (B)

Big farewell to Chiang Rai and board a flight bound back to Bangkok. Spend the day exploring at your leisure or quietly reflecting on your experiences.

Day 12   |  Bangkok – USA  (B)

Our Thailand journey comes to an end. We check out of the hotel and transfer to the airport to board our return flight back to the USA.
