Day 1   |  USA – Bangkok, Thailand 

Our grand Asia journey begins as we board the international flight bound to Thailand. Fly over the Pacific Ocean and cross the International Date Line.

Day 2   |  Arrive in Bangkok 

Arriving in Thailand’s capital city of Bangkok, you are greeted by your expert guide and accompanied to your hotel.

Day 3   |  Bangkok  (AB, L, DH)

Explore Bangkok, Thailand’s inspirational “City of Angels.” You’ll first travel to the Grand Palace, Thailand’s most easily recognizable landmark. This one-time royal residence now serves as the monarchy’s ceremonial hub. From the Palace, you’ll stroll through Coronation Hall and arrive at the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Bangkok’s royal temple and home to the kingdom’s most revered religious artifact, the Emerald Buddha figurine. Continue on to the Renaissance inspired Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall before concluding your day with a stop at the Gems Gallery. Enjoy dinner at hotel.

Day 4   |  Bangkok – Ayutthaya – Bangkok  (AB, L)

Today’s excursion brings you north of Bangkok to Bang Pa-In, where you’ll visit the Summer Palace, home of the iconic Divine Seat of Personal Freedom and the brightly colored Sage’s Lookout. Next, the ancient capital city of Ayutthaya reveals the intriguing ruins of Thai monasteries and temples, conjuring images of its storied past where Ayutthaya’s prominence rose and fell over the course of 400 years. You’ll delve into this UNESCO recognized historical site before embarking on the Grand Pearl Cruise of the Chao Phraya River, the River of the King. Enjoy buffet lunch onboard the cruise.

Day 5   |  Bangkok – Hua Hin  (AB, L, DH)

Experience Thailand’s traditional culture as you board a ruea hang yao, the well-recognized Thai long-tail boat. Ride your watercraft through the intricate canals of this “Venice of the East” and take in the charm of the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, where floating storefronts peddle their wares. As you conclude your time on Bangkok’s waterways, you’ll proceed to the royal beach resort of Hua Hin. Here you’ll have the opportunity to relax at your hotel or explore the exquisite beauty of Hua Hin on your own.

Day 6   |  Hua Hin  (AB, L)

Today’s tour showcases Thailand’s architectural artistry as you visit the beautifully crafted Hua Hin Train Station, a structure originally used as the royal waiting room. Next, you’ll visit King Rama VI’s Marukhathaiyawan Palace. With the ocean as its backdrop, this “Palace of Love & Hope” radiates with the builder’s masterful use of golden and red teak. Visitors are asked to approach with reverence to truly experience the awe and wonder of this special place. Returning to your hotel, you’ll be free to unwind at your leisure, perhaps electing to enjoy to pristine beaches overlooking the Gulf of Thailand.

Day 7   |  Hua Hin – Bangkok – Singapore  (AB)

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before boarding your flight to Singapore, transit at Bangkok. Upon your arrival to the “Lion City,” you’ll be greeted by your expert local guide and transferred to your accommodations.

Day 8   |  Singapore  (AB, L)

The city-state of Singapore is made up of 62 separate islands. Collected on these sundry landmasses is the great diversity of Singapore’s populace, typified by the nation’s adoption of four official languages: English, Chinese, Tamil and Malay. We begin your city tour at Merlion Park, the homage to the half-lion-half-fish national symbol of Singapore. Then on to the Thian Hock Keng Temple, the sacred Hokkien shrine built in honor of Ma Zu, the Chinese Sea Goddess. Next you’ll be given the opportunity to partake in Singapore’s two unofficial national pastimes: shopping and dining. Stop by a local handicrafts center and then traverse the various shops and street vendors of Little India before taking the rest of the day free at leisure. At this point you’ll have the opportunity to explore the city’s plentiful eatery options, ranging from opulent fine dining to the allure of ethnic street food.

Day 9   |  Singapore – Malacca, Malaysia – Kuala Lumpur  (AB, L, DH)

This morning you travel to Singapore’s neighbor to the north, Malaysia, a kingdom of rich cultural, religious and ethnic diversity. Enjoy lunch in the port city of Malacca before touring the city’s cultural heritage and architecture. Begin at the nation’s oldest functional Protestant church, the Anglican Christ Church. Then travel to the Melaka Ethnographical and Historical Museum and the Old Dutch Stadthuys (AKA “city hall”). Visit Malaysian landmarks: the Porta De Santiago, St. Francis Xavier Church and the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple. After your day of sightseeing, board your motor coach to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia’s capital city.

Day 10   |  Kuala Lumpur  (AB, L)

Embark on another remarkable day of sightseeing as you tour Kuala Lumpur. This futuristic metropolis boasts the kingdom’s largest population and a robust drive towards progress and growth. You’ll begin your tour at the official royal residence, the King’s Palace. Then proceed to the original city center at Merdeka Square and the National Monument. Here you’ll marvel at the 88-story Petronas Twin Towers, world famous icons of Malaysia and one-time holders of the world’s tallest building record. Continue your journey as you visit the kingdom’s sacred Hindu worship site, the Batu Caves, where you’ll take in the natural beauty of the caves interspersed with the ornate majesty of golden shrines. Wrap up your day by visiting the Pewter Factory and the KLCC Shopping Mall before observing a demonstration of batik wax resist dyeing.

Day 11   |  Kuala Lumpur – Hong Kong  (AB)

Travel by air to the island city of Hong Kong: leader in global finance, rich in colonial history and symbolic of modern China. Upon arrival, enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Venture out and explore Hong Kong’s vibrant streets at your own pace or unwind at your deluxe hotel.

Day 12   |  Hong Kong  (AB)

This morning after breakfast we embark on a half-day city tour of Hong Kong. Beginning with a tram ride up the mountain to Victoria Peak*, we’re treated with sweeping panoramas from the observation deck of Hong Kong Island and its bustling harbor. Our bus is waiting to take us for a scenic drive by picturesque Repulse Bay, then a stop at local shopping Mecca, Stanley Market. Finally, we chance a visit to the water-dwelling community at Aberdeen Fishing Village. Our sightseeing schedule is done, take some time to do whatever our hearts desire as the rest of the day is free time.

Day 13   |  Hong Kong – USA  (AB)

Your unforgettable Exotic Asia vacation is over all too soon as you check out of the hotel, transfer to the airport and board the homebound international flight. Bid farewell to Asia as you conclude your journey.
