Day 1   |  USA – Dubai, UAE 

Begin your adventure by boarding your international flight to Dubai. Travel across the ocean to discover these realms of extraordinary wonder.

Day 2   |  Arrive in Dubai 

Arrive in the northern-most city of the United Arab Emirates, Dubai. Nicknamed the “City of Gold” by precious-metals traders, Dubai is the UAE’s most populous city and also seen as one of the finest places to live in the entire Middle East. You’ll be greeted upon arrival by your expert guide and transferred to your accommodations. An optional Dubai Creek Dinner Cruise is available for you to enjoy a delightful scenic voyage along the waterway, taking in Dubai’s gorgeous night vistas.

Day 3   |  Dubai  (B, L)

Begin your city tour with a visit to the Dubai Museum. Then cross the Dubai Creek via abra (boat). Landing on the northern shore, take a walk through the famous Gold and Spice Souks (marketplaces). From here you’ll relax onboard a scenic drive passing the Jumeirah Mosque, Jumeirah Public Beach, Burj Al Arab Hotel, Palm Island, and at last making a shopping stop at Dubai Mall. Lunch is served at Junsui Restaurant in the Burj Al Arab Hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisuree. Y ou may choose to join an optional Desert Safari, which includes dune hashing, camel riding, Henna painting, BBQ dinner with belly dance.

Day 4   |  Dubai – Cairo, Egypt  (B)

Arriving in the fabled city of Cairo, you’ll quickly become immersed in the city’s ancient wonders, modern urbanity, and warm-hearted citizens. Your tour representative greets you at the arrivals hall and transfers you to your accommodations. The remainder of the day is free at your leisure to unwind at the hotel or explore the city at your own pace and interest.

Day 5   |  Cairo  (B, L)

West of Cairo, you’ll encounter the Pyramids of Giza. These 4,000-year-old monuments stand as a profound testament to the pharaohs’ power and ambitions. Take your time to admire the enormity of the Pyramids, imagining the shear volume of resources, human and otherwise, required for their construction. Nearby you’ll find the mythical Sphinx with the body of a lion and the head of a man. Proceed on your journey to review the rare artifacts at the Egyptian Museum before visiting local landmarks: the Citadel of Saladin, the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, and the 14th century Khan El Khalili Market.

Day 6   |  Cairo – LuxorNile River Cruise  (B, L, D)

A flight to Luxor brings you to the starting point of your Nile River Cruise. Board your cruise ship, the MS Tulip, to begin your journey along the legendary Nile River. Commonly understood as the longest river on the planet, the Nile measures over 4,100-miles in length and stretches through ten countries. Lunch is served on-board before disembarking at the East Bank to visit the elaborate sandstone ruins of Luxor Temple and the largest ancient religious site in the world, the Temple Complex of Karnak.

Day 7   |  Nile River Cruise -Esna  (B, L, D)

Crossing this mighty waterway, you land on the Nile’s West Bank, site of your day’s tour. The Colossi of Memnon’s twin statues are your first stop. These 60-foot tall representations of Amenhotep III are the namesake of Memnon, the Trojan War hero. Next is the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, shrine to the prosperous female pharaoh as well as the sun god, Amon-Ra. Conclude your day’s tour at the Valley of the Kings, an expansive burial ground for generations of Egyptian royalty. Re-board the MS Tulip for dinner before setting sail for Esna.

Day 8   |  Nile River Cruise -Edfu - Kom_Ombo  (B, L, D)

The city of Edfu awaits you where you’ll discover the astonishingly well-preserved Temple of Horus. Built during the reign of Cleopatra VII, this temple honors the ancient gods, Horus and Hathor. As the story goes, Hathor, the goddess of love, annually returns to Edfu to rejoin her husband Horus, the god of war. Enjoy lunch on-board your cruise ship as you travel to the agricultural town of Kom-Ombo to explore the unique “double design” of the Temple of Kom-Ombo.

Day 9   |  Nile River Cruise - Aswan  (B, L, D)

Sail to the ancient “gateway to Africa,” the busy market city of Aswan. This lovely city is blessed with palm-lined islands and amber deserts. You’re afforded the wonderful opportunity to explore onboard a traditional wooden sailboat, sailing around the Elephantine Island, the Botanical Garden and Agha Khan’s Mausoleum. Return to your cruise ship for dinner.

Day 10   |  Aswan - Cairo  (B, L)

Your morning at Aswan begins free at leisure to unwind at your own pace. You may also elect for an optional air-excursion to explore the Great Temple of Ramses II at Abu Simbel. This site houses four massive statues memorializing Egypt’s “greatest pharaoh.” In the afternoon, your Aswan tour resumes as your set off to see the High Dam, the powerful and controversial engineering feat designed to serve Egypt through drought protection, irrigation and hydroelectric power. Next, visit the towering Unfinished Obelisk, and the beautiful Temple of Philae at Agilika Island, which was painstakingly transported from Philae to Agilika after falling victim to High Dam induced flooding. Your day concludes with a return flight to Cairo.

Day 11   |  Cairo  (B)

Your day is free to explore Cairo at your leisure. Or opt for an optional day-tour of the astounding Roman heritage of Alexandria. Born of Hellenistic ancestry, this coastal city stands as Egypt’s largest seaport. Your city tour includes visits to the iconic monolith, Pompey’s Pillar and the longstanding Mediterranean stronghold, the Citadel of Qaitbay.

Day 12   |  Cairo – USA  (B)

Having discovered the beauty of Dubai and uncovered the magic and mystery of Egypt, you bid farewell to these marvelous lands and board your return flight to the USA.
