Day 1   |  USA – Cape Town, South Africa 

Begin your grand adventure! Today you set off onboard your flight to Cape Town (via Johannesburg) to tour the highlights of South Africa.

Day 2   |  Arrive in Cape Town  (D)

Arrive in Cape Town, South Africa’s legislative and tourist capital. Y ou’ll be greeted by your expert guide and transferred to your hotel to unwind at your leisure. Enjoy dinner at the splendid Cape Town waterfront area.

Day 3   |  Cape Town – Full Day Table Mountain Tour  (B, L, D)

Begin your day’s tour on a private road to Table Mountain, arguably South Africa’s most recognizable natural feature. Experience one-of-a-kind views of the city and coastline. Upon descending this extraordinary flat-topped mountain, embark on a sightseeing drive to see the rich cultural history of Malay Quarter, pass by the nearly 200-year-old South African Museum, with its famed exhibits, the Castle and other local landmarks.

Day 4   |  Cape Town – Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour  (B, L, D)

Cape Point, the southeastern tip of the Cape Peninsula, boasts of beautiful peaks and rocky shorelines. Your full-day tour begins with a sightseeing drive along the Atlantic Coast. You’ll arrive at the sandy shores of Hout Bay. Board a short cruise to Seal Island, popular destination for tourists, cape fur seals, and the occasional great white shark! Then arrive at the beautiful Cape Point, where its twisting and churning waters fuel the popular legend of “the line in the ocean” separating the Indian and the Atlantic. Break for lunch at Fishhoek Galley and enjoy their delicious Fisherman’s Platter. Your final stop is the splendid Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, the “most beautiful garden in Africa” and home to over 7,000 species of flora.

Day 5   |  Cape Town – Full Day Cape Winelands Tour  (B, L, D)

For the connoisseur and novice alike, a trip to South Africa warrants a trek through the beautiful and delectable Cape Wineland City of Paarl. Take in the scenic drive as you reach the award-winning vineyards of the Anura Wine Estate. Y our visit includes wine and cheese tasting and a wine cellar tour. Continue on to the historic Groot Drakenstein Prison, iconic site of Nelson Mandela’s final days of imprisonment and subsequent release. Your next stop is Franschhoek. Here you’ll attend a wine tasting and enjoy a walk through the village. A picnic lunch is served at the Allee Bleue Estate. Y ou’ll then embark on a scenic drive to the olden town of Stellenbosch.

Day 6   |  Cape Town – Johannesburg - Entabeni Private Nature Reserve  (B, L, D)

Board a short flight to Johannesburg then transfer to “the Place on the Mountain,” Entabeni. This popular game reserve is inhabited by several indigenous species, including: the lion, giraffe, impala, bushbuck, hyena, buffalo, and elephant. After lunch board your private vehicle for a game drive that takes you into the Entabeni’s 22,000 hectacres of bushveld, ravines, savanna, wetlands and hills where you’ll have the chance to encounter the wildlife and countryside up close. Day 7   |  Entabeni Private Nature Reserve  (B, L, D)

Your second day in the untamed beauty of Entabeni provides two game drives for you to trek into the wilderness. Continue to discover this “Big Five” country, so called because of the presence of Africa’s five most dangerous and sought after game animals: the African Elephant, the Rhinoceros, the Cape Buffalo, the Leopard, and the mighty Lion. This remarkably diverse ecosystem also affords ample bird-watching prospects. Game Drive: E, P

Day 8   |  Entabeni Private Nature Reserve - Johannesburg  (B, L, D)

Set off on one last game drive before breakfast and transfer to Johannesburg. Arriving in “Jo’burg,” you’ll go back in time to the 19th century as you explore the city’s gold mining history at Gold Reef City’s Heritage Tour. Built around the original Shaft No.14 of Crown Mines, you’ll find a re-creation of the life and times of the early gold rush pioneers. Take a guided excursion to the 720-feet underground and witness first-hand the amazing process of gold extraction. Conclude your day with transfer to your hotel. Game Drive: E

Take advantage of this day free at your leisure. Unwind at your accommodations while reflecting on your adventures, or choose to explore Johannesburg at your own pace.

Day 10   |  Johannesburg - USA  (B)

Your splendid South Africa adventure comes to an end as you reflect on the many highlights of your journey. Transfer to the airport to board your return flight to the USA.
