Day 1   |  USA - Milan 

Board your flight to Milan, the gateway for your journey through Italy’s enchanting lands.

Day 2   |  Arrive in Milan 

Arrive in Milan, Italy's commercial, financial and fashion capital. Meet your Ritz Tours representative at the airport and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure ,so you can explore the city as you choose. During the period of the World EXPO from 1st May to 31st Oct 2015, the hotel might be substituted with other hotel in different city

Day 3   |  Milan - Verona - Venice  (B, DH)

This morning ,enjoy a walking tour of Milan to witness its cultural and historical treasures. Marvel at the imposing Gothic Duomo Cathedral and world-renowned La Scala Opera House, which faces a statue of the genius Leonardo da Vinci. Next, stroll inside the 19th-century Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, one of the world's oldest shopping arcades, to behold its soaring glass arches and domed roof. Afterward, depart for entrancing Verona, famed as the fictional setting of Shakespeare's romantic play, Romeo and Juliet. Straddling the River Adige, this delightful city was awarded UNESCO World Heritage status in 2000 and is filled with timeless monuments. Upon arrival, view its highlights and wonder at its best-known attraction, the 13th-century residence known as Juliet's House. Later , Journey to Venice, whose canals, bridges and palazzos make it Italy's most magical city. Stay overnight in Padova abd enjoy dinner at your hotel.

Day 4   |  Venice  (B)

Called La Serenissima or the “most serene,” Venice is like no other city for being built on water — a testament to its one-time domination of the Adriatic and trade between Europe and the Orient. Ride a ferry* to the island of Murano to see a fascinating glass-blowing demonstration at the Murano Glass Factory, and then return to the city to view the ornate Bridge of Sighs, where condemned prisoners were led to gruesome torture chambers. Next, tour Venice’s other landmarks. Stroll around the vast St. Mark’s Square and wonder at stunning St. Mark’s Basilica, draped in gold-leaf mosaics, frescos and precious marbles. Be dazzled by its Pala d’Oro altarpiece, a gem-encrusted screen of 255 enameled panels. Afterward, consider a serenaded gondola ride along the stunning Grand Canal, to appreciate the grand palazzos lining the water.

Day 5   |  Venice - Ravenna - Rimini - San Marino  (B)

Have your camera ready as we drive across the Apennine Mountains to San Marino stopping on the way for some time in Ravenna. Pause in this historic city, eulogized for its glorious Byzantine mosaics and as the seat of the Papacy in the 5th century. Enjoy an orientation tour to see the mosaics adorning its downtown basilicas and baptisteries. Later, continue via Rimini to the tiny Republic of San Marino, entirely encircled by Italy. Check in to your hotel and use time at leisure to buy souvenirs at the duty-free stores or absorb the breathtaking views over the Adriatic Sea and Mount Titano.

Day 6   |  San Marino - Sienna - Pisa - Montecatini  (B, DH)

This morning, we make our way to the alluring Tuscan city of Sienna. Once a major adversary to Florence, Sienna’s charm lies in its medieval buildings and rich Gothic art. Embark on a walking tour of the city, left relatively untouched for centuries. Afterward, travel to Pisa to see the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, centerpiece of the impressive Campo dei Miracoli or "Field of Miracles." Tonight, stay over at the handsome spa town of Montecatini.

Day 7   |  Montecatini - Florence - Assisi  (B)

Today, head for Florence, known as the birthplace of the Renaissance. Take a walking tour of its art-filled center, seeing its spectacular Duomo - the world's 4th largest cathedral - topped by a magnificient 15th century dome. Admire the bronze doors of the octagonal Baptistry before touring Santa Croce Basilica and the marvelous panoramic views from Michelangelo Square, before driving to Assi. Here, join our orientation tour of the past home of Saint Francis, taking in UNESCO-listed jewels such as the Basilica of St. Francis and other Franciscan sites. Later, walk the city streets with your guide, marveling at their Roman ruins and medieval relics.

Day 8   |  Assisi - Pompeii - Sorrento  (B)

A highlight of your vacation comes today with a visit to evocative Pompeii*. In 79 AD, this flourishing city was destroyed by a massive volcanic eruption of Mt. Vesuvius. Scorching ash rained down upon the town, suffocating those left and preserving many of its buildings and streets for some 1,700 years. Afterward, drive to Sorrento, a colorful clifftop town overlooking the sparkling Bay of Naples. Enjoy an orientation tour of its center, characterized by buzzing streets, café-lined piazzas and tempting restaurants.

Day 9   |  Sorrento - Capri - Sorrento  (B, D)

Start today with a ferry ride* to the island of Capri, Italy’s most glamorous seaside getaway. Enjoy a Capri sightseeing tour showcasing its white hillside houses, charming squares and narrow alleyways, all favored as holiday haunts by Italy’s jetset. If weather permits, perhaps take an optional tour to the azure waters of the Blue Grotto and later, visit Capri’s second city, Anacapri, tucked high into the hills.

Day 10   |  Sorrento - Amalfi (optional) - Rome  (B)

Take time at leisure this morning. Shop for souvenirs in bustling Piazza Tasso or elect for our optional excursion to Amalfi. Be ready to be blown away by the jaw-dropping Amalfi Coast, as we drive its coastal road around cliffs dotted with picturebook towns. Visit romantic Positano and explore the picturesque lanes of Amalfi. Later, head for the “Eternal City” of Rome, a treasure trove of historic monuments and artistic riches.

Day 11   |  Rome  (B, D)

Today is dedicated to the UNESCO World Heritage Site that is Rome. Start at the resplendent Vatican City, home of St. Peter’s Basilica, the world’s largest church at 18,000 square yards, and built over the tomb of St. Peter. Outside, admire sublime St. Peter’s Square, the 17th century colonnaded piazza by architect Gian Lorenzo Bernini. Next, contemplate the elegant Old City and visit the majestic Colosseum*, scene of many bloody gladiatorial contests. Afterward, explore the ruins of the Roman Forum*, admire the Spanish Steps and toss a coin into the Trevi Fountain to ensure your return to the city. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to see more of Rome’s riches and attend an Italian Farewell Dinner this evening.
