Siena
Situated along three siena-colored hills in the heart of Tuscany is the alluring city of Siena. Considered to be Italy's best-preserved medieval city, Siena has long been a historic adversary to Florence. While Florence's treasures were born in the Renaissance, Siena's artistic splendors are largely Gothic. Siena has remained relatively unchanged since medieval times and its charm lies in its grand medieval buildings and treasures which are woven seamlessly into modern life.
Piazza del Campo
The Piazza del Campo is truly unique due to its shape which resembles a concave square. It has been the social and political center of the city since the mid-14th century and was once the site of a Roman marketplace. The square is the local s favored gathering spot, where they can sip coffee and watch the world go by.
