Located on the east side of Beijing Tiananmen Square, the National Museum of China is the largest comprehensive history museum in China, narrating thousands of years’ history of China with numerous collections and exhibits.
The National Museum of China is a four-storied main building with two symmetrical wings, running more than 300 meters north and south along the eastern side of Tiananmen Square. Donglaishun Restaurant in Beijing is a long-standing Muslim restaurant famous for instant-boiled mutton. After over one hundred years of elaboration, this previously locally renowned restaurant is now famous both at home and abroad.
Donglaishun Restaurant was founded by Ding Deshan, a man of Hui nationality. Hutongs are narrow streets or alleys formed by lines of traditional courtyard residences. Most of the existing courtyards are remnants of the Ming (1368 - 1644) and Qing (1644 - 1911) Dynasties. Hutong tours offer a glimpse back into the way of life in old Beijing.
