The new establishment of the Chongqing Tourism Marketing Center in Los Angeles is deemed by the municipality government as a proactive effort to raise its international recognition and awareness of the many world-class tourism infrastructures it has to offer to American visitors. According to Hunter Wang, Deputy Director of Chongqing Tourism, “The Center shall take on the role of building tourism business relationships between the city and United States, facilitating tourism, culture and educational exchanges, and the dissemination of information on the various unique tourism assets in Chongqing.”
