The communist nation formerly known as Czechoslovakia became the Czech Republic in
1989 via a peaceful revolution. Its capital (and largest) city Prague has been its political,
cultural, and economic center for the past 1100 years. Widely considered to be one of the
most beautiful cities in all of Europe, our sightseeing tour of Prague provides a glimpse into
its rich history. Our fi rst stop of the “Golden City” Prague tour takes us to Prague Castle,
the largest ancient castle in the world. The tour also features visits to the ancient St. Vitus
Cathedral, Old Town Square, the romantic Charles Bridge over the Vltava River, Astronomical
Clock, and views of the Jewish Quarter. Some free time will be provided for leisure activities.

Our motorcoach departs after breakfast this morning and heads south across the border
into Austria. The Alps cover more than half of Austria, making the mountainous
country famous for its winter skiing. We arrive at Vienna, the largest city and also the
capital of the Republic of Austria. A half day city tour takes us to Schonbrun Palace,
and a panoramic drive will show us some famous landmarks such as the Vienna Opera
House, Ringstrasse, City Hall, the Parliament Building, and the Hofburg. Some free
time will be allotted for shopping or viewing of St. Stephen’s Church. In the evening
we may choose to participate in an optional activity - Mozart’s Concert.

A leisurely drive this morning takes our group through the countryside to the Hungarian
border. Before driving into the city center of Budapest, the capital of Hungary, we fi rst enjoy
a panoramic view across the Danube from the hill top. The Danube River is the longest river
in the EU, flowing some 1771 miles from the Black Forest (Germany) eastwards into the
Black Sea. The “On the Beautiful Blue Danube” was composed by the famous composer
Johann Strauss as he traveled down the river. We then head into the city to take a cruise on
the Danube River to the Pest district to visit Heroes’ Square. Enjoy a traditional Hungarian
dinner with music tonight.

The Plitvice 16 Lakes National Park, Croatia’s most popular tourist attraction, was
granted UNESCO World Heritage status in 1979. The 16 lakes are interconnected by a
series of waterfalls and set in deep woodlands populated by deer, bears, wolves, boars,
and rare bird species. In the park, there are numerous trails on which to walk and
hike, and there are also boats from which a different perspective of the park can be
seen. Tonight, our group overnights in Bled.

Our morning tour of Salzburg begins with a visit to the Mirabell Garden after which
we cross the Salzach River to enter the Old Town. Some free time will be given for us
to explore the town on our own. Use the time to stroll the cobblestoned streets, do
some souvenir shopping, or have a fantastic birds-eye view of the city from Festung
Hohensalzburg. An optional “Sound of Music” tour to St. Gilgen and Lake Wolfgang
is available. Later in the day, our motorcoach continues on to Munich where for dinner
we venture a taste of famous local fare - German Pig Knuckles.

Hotel Jezero
|
 |
|
Hotel JEZERO is the pearl of Bohinj. It is one of the picturesque scenes that blends with the fascinating exoticism of nature in this part of Bohinj. Completely renovated, it shines in all its beauty and soft luxury. In summer and winter it sparkles in the dusk like the backs of lively trout in the Bohinj lake. In addition to comfort, it offers guests and travellers what is most sought-after by man - a home atmosphere. The lake and mountain paths are just a stone's throw away. Sometimes, in the mornings, a mountain rabbit darts from the nearby bushes - as if wanting to say - come'n join us in the fresh air, among the flowers, along the waterbank.
