Day 1   |  Arrive-Dubai 

Arrive in Dubai, the "City of Gold," the starting point of our India and Dubai adventure. One of the world s fastest growing vacation destinations, Dubai is a truly unique destination where you can journey from endless sand dunes to the bustling souks in one day. Today we check in to our hotel and spend the remainder of the day free at leisure to relax or venture into the city. This evening we may take an optional dinner cruise along the Dubai Creek to see unique views of Dubai at night.

Day 2   |  Dubai  (B, L)

Embark on a half-day city tour beginning with the magnificent Jumeirah Mosque. Drive past the Emirates Towers, the Dubai World Trade Center, the Palace of Sheikh Mohammad and the Rashid Palace, and then stop for photos at Dubai Creek. Continue to visit Old Dubai, or "Bastakiya District," and stop by the renowned Al Fahidi Fort Museum, and then take a short boat ride across the creek. Stroll through the Spice and Gold Souks, admiring the rows of colorful spices and jewels, and arrive at the legendary Burj Al Arab Hotel for lunch at the Junsui Restaurant. After lunch we are transferred back to hotel and enjoy the afternoon free at leisure.

Day 3   |  Dubai-Delhi  (B)

After breakfast we transfer to the airport and board a flight to Delhi, arriving in the afternoon. This vibrant capital is one of India s fastest growing cities and contains more sights than any other city in the country. Upon arrival we transfer to the hotel and spend the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 4   |  Delhi  (B, L, D)

Delhi is composed of two very different worlds, New and Old Delhi. This morning we venture to Old Delhi and visit Jama Masjid, India s largest mosque, by bicycle rickshaw. We then visit the magnificent Red Fort, a marvelous red sandstone fort built on the banks of River Yamuna. After lunch at a local restaurant we dive into the heart of New Delhi, driving past the India Gate, the Presidential Palace, the Parliament House and the nearby Secretariat buildings. In the afternoon we visit the mausoleum of Emperor Humayun, the first mature example of Mughal architecture, a distinctive style that originated in the 16th and 17th centuries. After visiting the Qutab Minar, a 12th century tower we complete our day with a visit to the magnificent Red Fort then enjoy a dinner at a specialty Indian restaurant.

Day 5   |  Delhi-Jaipur  (B, L, D)

After breakfast we drive to the "Pink City" of Jaipur. After checking in to the hotel we enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, followed by the afternoon free at leisure.

Day 6   |  Jaipur  (B, L)

Our sightseeing tour of Jaipur begins with a visit to Amber Fort, which rests atop the rugged hills outside of the city. Take an elephant or Jeep ride to the top of the hill to the fortress. After touring the palace – a beautiful fusion of Mughal and Hindu architecture – we visit the Palace of Winds and Jaipur s shopping district. In the afternoon visit the City Palace, which covers over one-seventh of the area of the walled city. Later visit the Jantar Mantar, the largest and best preserved of the five observatories built by Maharajah Jai Singh II in the early 1700s. Before returning to the hotel, attend a turban and sari tying demonstration.

Day 7   |  Jaipur-Agra  (B, L, D)

This morning we transit by motorcoach to Agra visiting Fatehpur Sikri (City of Victory) along the way. Built by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century, this royal complex is a maze of ornate pavilions, courtyards and pavilions that evokes images of opulent imperial times. After our tour we continue driving to Agra. The imperial capital of India before it shifted to Delhi, Agra s treasured remains bear witness to the legacy of its past emperors. In the evening we take a ride a tonga "horse carriage" to the gates of the iconic Taj Mahal, once referred to as a "poem in stone." One of the world s most famous monuments, the Taj Mahal was commissioned by Emperor Shah Janan in memory of his beloved wife.

Day 8   |  Agra-Delhi  (B, D)

After breakfast we visit the Red Fort of Agra, a powerful fortress which enclosed the imperial city of the Mughal rulers. Founded in 1565 by Emperor Akbar, the Red Fort houses a large number of beautiful palaces and mosques. After our tour we drive to Delhi where we stay overnight.

Day 9   |  Delhi-USA  (B)

Transfer to the airport to board our homebound flight, taking with us lasting memories of this remarkable country.
