DAY 1 Athens, Greece

On arrival meet your local representative and transfer to your hotel by private coach. After checking in, enjoy free time at leisure.

DAY 2 Athens

Relax over breakfast before a morning sightseeing tour of Athens’ highlights. Learn about the city’s long history as you view the Parliament and Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Syntagma Square, and take in some of the city’s many antiquities including the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian’s Arch. See the marble-built Panathenaic Stadium, the setting of the first modern Olympics in 1896; and enjoy a walking tour of the UNESCO-listed Acropolis* to marvel at its stunning ruins, including the Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, Erechtheion, and Parthenon. Round off your explorations at the spectacular Acropolis Museum*, which houses some of the greatest archaeological treasures unearthed at the Acropolis site. Admire the statues and treasures as you learn how the Acropolis was the epicenter of the ancient Greek civilisation from the 5th century BC. This afternoon gives you time to relax or to continue sightseeing as you wish.

DAY 3 Athens – Mykonos

This morning, transfer to Piraeus port for a high-speed ferry ride to Mykonos, traveling by comfortable business class. After checking in to the hotel, enjoy a walking tour of Mykonos Town’s maze-like alleyways. Admire the white-painted houses with their colorful doors, balconies, and bougainvillea; view the traditional windmills and churches, and watch for the town’s mascot—Petros—the beloved real-life pelican that struts freely around the streets and harborside. Later, perhaps dip into Mykonos’ vibrant nightlife with drinks or dinner at the waterfront taverns and bars of the Little Venice Quarter.

DAY 4 Mykonos

Only a 45 minute boat ride away from Mykonos, Delos* was the center of the Cyclades of the ancient world, the island of light, birthplace of Apollo and Artemis, home to the first multicultural civilization and trade.  Having been inhabited between 2500 and 69 B.C., Delos boasts of many treasures remaining from these times like the ancient marketplace Agora, the famous terrace of the Naxos lions, the holy lake, the ancients living quarters and theater that give you a lively vision of the daily life then. The houses of Dionysos, Kleopatra, the Trident, the Masks, and the Dolphins are a fantastic experience of art not to be missed.

DAY 5 Mykonos – Santorini

Enjoy the day free until your transfer to Mykonos’ port for your high-speed ferry to Santorini. Relax in the comfort of the business class deck, and on arrival at Santorini port, transfer to your hotel.  Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for three nights, and enjoy the remainder of the day free. Perhaps roam the tiny, shop-filled lanes of the capital, Thira; enjoy the views over the caldera—the ancient volcanic crater submerged under the Aegean—or unwind by the pool.

DAY 7 Santorini

Experience the best of Santorini and its history and culture on this full-day island tour. Drive up Profitis Ilias, Santorini’s highest mountain, and admire the panoramic views over this beautiful volcanic island and the Aegean Sea. After taking photos here, explore the traditional cobbled lanes of Megalochori, one of the island’s most picturesque villages, and delve into Santorini’s ancient past on a guided visit to the Akrotiri Archaeological Site* (entrance fees included), where the ruins of a 17th-century BC town destroyed by a volcanic eruption provide an incredible glimpse down through the millennia. Next, admire the dramatic red cliffs and sands of Red Beach and enjoy free time to sunbathe, swim, and have lunch (own expense) at the Black Beach at Perivolos. Wrap up your tour by tasting Santorini’s famous home-produced wines at the Santo Wines Oenotourisme Center. Uncover the island’s unique vine-growing and winemaking methods, and enjoy the caldera views from an outdoor terrace as you sip some of Santorini’s crisp whites and fruity reds.
