Here you can see a story told in stone about the East Fjords, one of Iceland’s most geologically ancient areas. It’s also a peek into local fjord culture; the exhibit was created by a village woman interested in sharing her region’s heritage with visitors.
After a day of amazing views your overnight is in the largest town in East Iceland, Egilsstaðir. The region around the town is becoming known as a paradise for foodies.
