Topping the sights is the Grand Palace, a sprawling 18th-century complex of residences and temples that were home to the kings of Siam and Thailand for 150 years. Stroll around the courtyards to view the gilded buildings, including the Wat Phra Kaew ( Temple of the Emerald Buddha) , regarded as Thailand’s most sacred Buddhist shrine. While you’re exploring, stop for a delicious restaurant lunch and then , ride a boat across the Chao Phraya, Bangkok’s ‘River of Kings’ and visit the stunning Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn). Transfer to the airport to board the flight to Chiang Rai to enjoy an adventure of meeting elephants.Begin yourExplorer's Arrival with a private car transfer from Chiang Rai Airport to the historic riverside town of Chiang Saen. From there, continue by river aboard a private longtail boat or Nakara Boat, a beautifully restored Eiam Jun teak rice barge, as you cruise along the mighty Mekong River to the legendary meeting point of Thailand,Laos, and Myanmar—where the Golden Triangle begins. Arrive at the resort's private jetty on the banks of the Ruak River for your first glimpse of the hilltop jungle retreat, greeted by a welcoming committee of elephants. Proceed to the lobby alongside the elephants or transfer comfortably by resort jeep. The Explorer's Arrival takes approximately two hours, from Chiang Rai Airport to arrival at the hotel lobby. After checking in at the resort, attend the Welcome briefing and introduction to the elephant camp and enjoy the jungle views and infinity pool on your own.

Elephant Guardian
Learn the fascinating historical and cultural customs of mahouts and their elephants. Our team will share their traditional knowledge and teach you to make medicinal food for our older rescued elephants.
